Panha

Preparation Time: 12 mins
Makes 4 glasses
Ingredients
  • 2 raw mangoes , boiled and de-skinned
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
  • a pinch of saffron (kesar) strands
Method
  1. Mash the mangoes in a deep bowl and strain the pulp.
  2. Add the sugar, cardamom powder and saffron and mix well.
  3. Store in a bottle and refrigerate till use.
  4. Just before serving, put equal quantities of the mango mixture into 4 individual glasses and top it up with enough chilled water.
  5. Serve chilled.
