Cheesy Corn Rava Waffles

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 8 mins
Makes 2 waffles
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup semolina (rava)
  • 1/3 cup urad dal (split black lentil) flour
  • 1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
  • 1/2 cup capsicum
  • 1 tbsp curds (dahi)
  • 1 tsp green chillies , finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) , crushed
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp fruit salt
Other Ingredients
  • oil for greasing
  • 1/4 cup grated mozzrella cheese or cooking cheese
Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients, except the fruit salt in a bowl with 1 cup of water and mix well.
  2. Just before making the waffles, add the fruit salt and mix gently.
  3. Pre-heat a waffle iron.
  4. Lightly grease the waffle iron with little oil, pour ½ of the waffle batter and spread evenly. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the waffle is golden brown.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter and ingredients, to make one more waffle.
  6. Serve immediately topped with grated cheese.
