Bund Gobi Aur Matter

Servings :Makes 3 to 4 servings

Ingredients :

1 chopped cabbage
2 bayleaf (tejpatta)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 1/2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
2 chopped tomatoes
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
100 gms green peas
oil for cooking

Method :

Heat 3 tbsp oil in a kadhai, add the cumin seeds and tejpatta.When the seeds crackle, add the chopped bund gobi and saute for another 5 minutes.Add all the spices, tomatoes and sugar, mix well and add the 3 tbsp ghee and saute for 15 minutes.Add the green peas, and cook on a slow flame for another 15 minutes or till the peas become tender.Serve hot with chawal, raita, roti or puris.
