Ingredients :
For Palak Paratha
1 1/2 cups chopped spinach (palak)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
3/4 cup plain flour (maida)
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tbsp ghee
salt to taste
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
8 tsp ghee for cooking
For Serving With Palak Paratha
fresh curd (dahi)
Method :
For palak paratha
For palak parathaTo make palak paratha, combine the spinach, lemon juice and 2 tbsp of water in a mixer and blend to a smooth purée.Combine all the remaining ingredients including the spinach purée and knead to a semi-soft dough using enough water.Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll out each portion into 150 mm. (6\") diameter circle, using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each paratha on both sides, using 1 tsp ghee for each paratha, till brown spots appear on both the sides.Serve the palak parathas hot.
