Ingredients :
3/4 kg tomatoes
2 green chillies
small piece of ginger (adrak)
2 small pieces of garlic (lehsun)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tsp oil
1 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
3 tsp roasted peanuts
Method :
Heat oil in a kadai .when hot add mustard seeds .when it splutters add jeera , urad dal.Make paste of green chilli , ginger, garlic and add. fry a littleImmerse tomatos in hot water for 5 min. take out skin. cut into small pieces and add to the oil.Mix well. add haldi, red chiili powder, dahiya jeera powder, garam masalaIn a slow flame ,cover & cook for 5 min, adding the required salt.Crush coarsly the roated groundnut with the skin in a hand mixer.Add to the tomato baji.Cook again for 2 min.Garnish with corriander leaves.Make sandwich, using the tomato baji as a filling.
