Makes 2 waffles
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup semolina (rava)
- 1/3 cup urad dal (split black lentil) flour
- 1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
- 1/2 cup capsicum
- 1 tbsp curds (dahi)
- 1 tsp green chillies , finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) , crushed
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp fruit salt
- oil for greasing
- 1/4 cup grated mozzrella cheese or cooking cheese
- Combine all the ingredients, except the fruit salt in a bowl with 1 cup of water and mix well.
- Just before making the waffles, add the fruit salt and mix gently.
- Pre-heat a waffle iron.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with little oil, pour ½ of the waffle batter and spread evenly. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the waffle is golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter and ingredients, to make one more waffle.
- Serve immediately topped with grated cheese.
