Ingredients :
To Be Mixed Together For The Rice Mixture
1 cup chopped cucumber
1 cup grated carrot
1 1/2 cups chilled whisked fresh curds (dahi)
3/4 cup steamed rice (chawal) , cooled and mashed slightly
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 tsp green chilli paste
salt to taste
Other Ingredients
1 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tbsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
6 curry leaves (kadi patta)
Method :
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
When the seeds crackle, add the urad dal, asafoetida and curry leaves and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
Pour the tempering over the rice mixture and mix well.
Serve immediately. .
