Ingredients :
4 whole wheat bread slices , toasted
1 tsp soft butter
16 cucumber slices
16 tomatoes slices
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
For The Green Chutney
1 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup sliced onions
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tsp roughly chopped green chillies
salt to taste
Method :
For the green chutney
For the green chutneyCombine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend till smooth using approx. 1 tbsp of water till smooth. Keep aside.
How to proceed
How to proceedPlace a toasted bread slice on a clean, dry surface. Apply ¼ tsp of butter evenly over it. Spread 2 tsp of green chutney, 4 cucumber slices, 4 tomato slices and finally sprinkle a little salt and pepper evenly over it.
Repeat step 1 to make 3 more open sandwiches.Serve immediately.
