Tawa Pizza

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Makes 1 pizza

Ingredients
For The Pizza Base
  • 2 cups plain flour (maida)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
For Pizza Topping
  • 1 sliced capsicum
  • 2 sliced baby corn
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzrella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs
Method
For the pizza base
  1. Sieve the plain flour and add in a bowl.
  2. Add the yeast, olive oil, salt and sugar, mix all ingredients well and add enough lukewarm water and knead the flour.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes soft. Grease a bowl and place dough in it for 2 hours so that it gets fermented well.
  4. Dough for making pizza is ready.
How to proceed
  1. Take half amount of pizza dough and make a round ball.
  2. With help of dry plain flour, roll into ½ cm thick chapatti with a diameter of 10-12 inch.
  3. Preheat a pan or tawa, place the rolled pizza base and cover it and cook for 2 minutes or until the lower side gets little brown.
  4. Flip it up side down and reduce the flame to minimum. Firstly layer pizza sauce and then place capsicum and baby corn on the pizza.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese as well.
  6. Cover pizza and cook for 5-6 minutes on medium flame until the cheese gets melted and the lower side gets little brown.
  7. Serve hot pizza
