Apple and Raisin Pudding

Cooking Time: 3 min.
Serves 6.
Ingredients
  • 6 large dessert apples
  • 2 tbsp raisins (kismis)
  • 6 to 7 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp rum or brandy (optional)
  • a little butter
Method
  1. Soak the raisins in 2 to 3 tablespoons of rum (or water) for 1 hour.
  2. Arrange the apple slices in a shallow dish and add the soaked raisins with liquid.
  3. Add the sugar, cinnamon powder and lemon juice and mix. Do with a little butter.
  4. Cover and microwave on HIGH for about 3 minutes.
