Oats Pongal

Servings :Makes 1 serving

Ingredients :

3 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup moong dal (split green gram)
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 1/2 inch ginger (adrak) piece
4 to 5 green chillies broken into pieces
salt to taste
oil
few chopped coriander (dhania) leaves for garnishing

Method :

Heat oil in non stick pan, add jeera, black pepper, green chillies and ginger and roast the same.Add cleaned and washed moong dal with 4 glasses of water and put to boil.When the dal is cooked, add oats and salt, mix well.Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
