Thandai Smoothie

Ingredients :

500 ml vanilla ice-cream
1/4 cup almonds (badam)
1 tbsp melon seeds (charmagaz)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
1/2 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
1/4 tsp black peppercorns (kalimirch) powder
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1 tsp rose water
1/4 cup gulkand or dried rose petals
few saffron (kesar) strands strands for garnishing
water as required

Method :

Soak almonds, melon seeds, khuskhus, saunf in water overnight Remove the waterGrind almonds, melon seeds and khuskhus to a very fine paste Add cardamom powder, pepper powder, gulkand and rose water to it Again grind it in the grinder Finally mix ice-cream with the Thandai paste Blend the mixture till it becomes smooth and fluffy Pour it in broad based glasses Garnish it with saffron strands Serve chilled
