Ingredients
1 cup cooked rice
2 tsp oil
1 tbsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 tbsp chana dal (split bengal gram)
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 green chillies , chopped
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
4 to 5 curry leaves (kadi patta)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
salt to taste
2 tbsp lemon juice
Method
Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds.When the seeds crackle, add the chana dal,urad dal and asafoetida and saute till the dal turns reddish brown.Add the turmeric, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and coriander and saute for 1 minute.Add the rice and mix well.Add the lemon juice, mix well and serve hot.
