Masala Cauliflower with Peas

Preparation Time: 25 mins
Cooking Time: 25 mins
Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
To Be Ground Into A Paste
  • 2 tsp freshly grated coconut
  • 2 green chillies
  • 25 mm (1") piece ginger (adrak)
  • 2 to 3 garlic (lehsun) cloves
  • 2 tbsp water
Other Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 1/2 cups green peas
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
For The Garnish
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
  1. Combine the onions, coriander, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, chilli powder, ground paste, oil and salt in a bowl mix well to make a marinade.
  2. Add the cauliflower and peas to this prepared marinade and mix well.
  3. Transfer it into a deep pan, add 1 1/2 cups of water, cover and cook until the vegetables are tender, while stirring twice in between.
  4. Add the garam masala and mix well.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
