Ingredients
- 2 tsp low-fat butter
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 3 cups skin of green peas
- 2 tbsp green peas
- 1 1/4 cups low-fat milk (99.7% fat-free)
- salt and to taste
- Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté for a minute.
- Add the green peas skin and green peas, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the milk and ¼ cup of water, mix well and pressure cook for 1 minute.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Blend in a mixer till smooth.
- Strain using a strainer or a muslin cloth and transfer back to the same pan.
- Add the salt and pepper, mix well and bring to boil. Serve hot.
