- Brown bread slices 4
- Sesame seeds (til) 6 teaspoons
- Butter 2 teaspoons
- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Green chillies,chopped 2
- Potatoes,boiled, peeled and mashed 3 medium
- Green peas,boiled and crushed 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
- Fresh coriander leaves,chopped 2 tablespoons
- Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon
- Sugar 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt to Taste
- Preheat an oven to 180°C.Dry roast sesame seeds in a non-stick pan till fragrant.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Trim the edges of the bread slices, apply butter on both the sides and grill them in the preheated oven till golden.
- Heat oil in another non-stick pan, add cumin seeds.
- When they begin to change colour, add green chillies, potatoes, green peas, lemon juice, coriander leaves, chaat masala, sugar and salt.
- Mix well and set aside.
- Divide the potato mixture into four equal portions.
- Spread them on the toasted bread.
- Sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds on top.
- Grill the bread slices in the oven for another two to three minutes.
- Remove, cut into pieces
- Serve with tomato ketchup.
