- Milk 4 cups
- Fennel seeds (saunf) 1 teaspoon
- Green cardamom seeds 1 teaspoon
- Cloves 5 - 6
- Black peppercorns 6 - 7
- Cinnamon 1 inch
- Nutmeg powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger 1 inch
- Chocolate Powder 3/4 cup + for sprinkling
- vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Combine fennel seeds, cardamom seeds, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, nutmeg powder and ginger in a mortar. Crush with a pestle into a coarse mixture.
- Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan. Add crushed spice mixture and vanilla extract.
- Stir to mix and bring to a boil.
- Add chocolate powder and stir to mix.
- Add honey and stir again.
- Strain the drink into 4 individual cups.
- Sprinkle little chocolate powder on top and serve hot
