- 6 large dessert apples
- 2 tbsp raisins (kismis)
- 6 to 7 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp rum or brandy (optional)
- a little butter
- Soak the raisins in 2 to 3 tablespoons of rum (or water) for 1 hour.
- Arrange the apple slices in a shallow dish and add the soaked raisins with liquid.
- Add the sugar, cinnamon powder and lemon juice and mix. Do with a little butter.
- Cover and microwave on HIGH for about 3 minutes.
