Fermenting Time: 4 hours.

Makes 25 servings
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups semolina (rava)
- 1 cup curds (dahi)
- 2 tomatoes , chopped
- 2 onions , chopped
- 2 green chillies , chopped
- salt to taste
- oil for cooking
- coconut chutney
- Beat the curds with 1/2 cup of water and then add the semolina and salt to make batter of dropping consistency.
- Cover and keep aside for 4 hours to ferment.
- Then, add the tomatoes, onions and green chillies to the fermented batter.
- Heat the appe mould on a medium flame and grease it with a little oil.
- Pour a spoonful of the batter into each mould.
- Cook till the outer surface becomes golden brown and then turn each appe upside down using a fork so as to cook the other side.
- Remove and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
