Khaman Kakdi

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 3 mins
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 cup coarsely crushed roasted peanuts
  • 1 1/2 cups cucumber cubes
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • a pinch sugar
  • rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
Method
  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the sesame seeds and cumin seeds.
  2. When they crackle, add the peanuts and rock salt and sauté on a medium flame for a minute.
  3. Add the cucumber and coriander and mix well.
  4. Just before serving add the lemon juice, sugar and mix well.
  5. Serve immediately.
