Kalimirch Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 large onion diced into pieces
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Lime juice of 2 lemons
  • 3 tbsp of garlic ginger paste
  • Oil
  • 1 ½ - 2 tbsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
Method
  1. Pour two table spoons of oil in a pan and let it heat.
  2. Add the garlic ginger paste and onions. Let the onions cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now add the chicken pieces and let it cook for a while.
  4. Add the salt and pepper (Tip: To increase the spice, one can add more black pepper).
  5. Shut the vessel and let it cook for 15- 20 minutes till the chicken has become tender.
  6. Add a little water on the lid so that the chicken cooks fast and does not burn.
  7. After it cooks for 20 -25 minutes, remove the lid and add lime juice.
  8. Check if the chicken is done and then add the garam masala.
  9. Add the coriander leaves and the remaining black pepper.
