- 2 tsp freshly grated coconut
- 2 green chillies
- 25 mm (1") piece ginger (adrak)
- 2 to 3 garlic (lehsun) cloves
- 2 tbsp water
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
- 2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp oil
- salt to taste
- 2 cups cauliflower florets
- 1 1/2 cups green peas
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
- Combine the onions, coriander, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, chilli powder, ground paste, oil and salt in a bowl mix well to make a marinade.
- Add the cauliflower and peas to this prepared marinade and mix well.
- Transfer it into a deep pan, add 1 1/2 cups of water, cover and cook until the vegetables are tender, while stirring twice in between.
- Add the garam masala and mix well.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander.
