Palm Hearts Salad

Ingredients
  • two-feet trunk of palm tree 1
  • Onion 1 large
  • Tomato 1 large
  • Lemon 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Spring onion greens,finely chopped 2 tablespoons
  • Oil 2 tablespoons
Method
  1. Peel the outer two layers of the trunk to get to the palm heart.
  2. Finely slice the onion and put into a bowl. Finely slice the tomato and put into the bowl.
  3. Halve the palm heart vertically and slice them finely and put into the bowl.
  4. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into the bowl. 
  5. Add salt and pepper powder.
  6. Add spring onion greens and oil and mix.
  7. Serve immediately.
